By Jeff Goldman/The Star-Ledger
Three New Jersey restaurants have been honored as among the best 100 in the country, according to information compiled by OpenTable.com.
The restaurant review and reservation website named these Garden State eateries to its list:
• Cafe 2825, Atlantic City (Italian)
• Franklinville Inn, Franklinville (seafood)
• Restaurant Lorena's, Maplewood (French)
The top restaurant in the country? SeaBlue Restaurant & Wine Bar in North Myrtle Beach, S.C, which serves contemporary American cuisine. A New York City restaurant, Sushi Nakazawa - Sushi Bar in Greenwich Village landed in the No. 2 spot.
OpenTable.com compiled the list by sorting through five million reviews of more than 20,000 restaurants nationally.
The Franklinville Inn also made the top 100 list in 2013.
A Star-Ledger review in June described Restaurant Lorena's as having a "low-key but lovely decor."
Chef/owner Humberto Campos Jr., who opened the restaurant in 2005, was described as a "master in the kitchen."
Family-owned Cafe 2825, meanwhile, is a block from the Tropicana on Atlantic Avenue in Atlantic City. A 2009 Star-Ledger review complimented the restaurant, saying, "everything tastes homemade, only better."
